Job Description:

Observes and assists higher classified employees in inspecting, installing, and removing, and distribution systems equipment.

Location: Benning Service Center in Washington, DC, Rockville, Maryland and Forestville, Maryland.

Hourly Rate: $19.15 per hour

Job Requirements:

Ability and willingness to work rotating shift work, schedule including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must be 21 years of age or older, and possess a CDL Class A license and a DOT medical card within six months of hire date.

Must successfully pass qualification tests including paper and pencil tests (CAST) and a Physical Assessment that requires performing physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the test period.

Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and job sites.

Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check which consists of a criminal records check for felony convictions.

Must successfully pass a medical screening.

Physical Demands:

Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including: outdoors in all weather conditions, at extreme heights, on or around energized electrical equipment, in confined spaces or enclosed vessels, underground, in dark areas with limited lighting, and in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other heavy equipment.

Ability and willingness to perform indoor and outdoor tasks for extended periods of time, including lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance, and up to 200 lbs. with assistance, climbing ladders and scaffolding, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and squatting.
