Job Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day management, support and administration of the Raiser’s Edge Database

Create, modify, and run database reports in response to requests.

Perform problem determinations and recoveries, define user requirements, and perform system analysis.

Monitor database activities; create and issue usernames and passwords. Proactively ensure the accuracy of the information inputted into the Raiser’s Edge donor database.

Supervise database personnel including:

Train new employees on database system

Provide technical assistance to state office database users

Direct the prospect and donor research program, including providing confidential research on individuals, corporations, and foundations

Produce donor acknowledgement letters ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all acknowledgements, including:

Ensure integrity of the system through frequent checks for accuracy of input.

Perform periodic audits and “scrubs” of data to ensure all public data changes are captured and that all information being inputted into the system is accurate.

Detailed Duties:

Maintain Raiser’s Edge Reports; including existing Crystal Reports

Create and run Raiser’s Edge Queries and Exports

Organize and maintain files and ensure consistency with Raiser’s Edge records

Contribute to operations planning and problem solving activities

Work closely with the Direct Mail program to coordinate solicitations

Produce monthly and quarterly fundraising results for senior management, including income reports

Reconcile gifts and pledges in Raiser’s Edge with Finance

Run reports for accounting reconciliation

Proactively exercise independent judgment to determine how best to utilize the database to provide accurate information for the formation and execution of Development strategies. Recommend and produce analyses of trends in pledge and gift data, and financial accounting.

Other duties as assigned by the Development Operations Manager

Qualifications:

B.A./B.S. preferred and a minimum of 5 years related experience in a nonprofit environment

Minimum 3 years of Raiser’s Edge database management experience is required.

Advanced understanding of development activities (prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship), with particular emphasis on information systems, prospect research, stewardship and office operations.

Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required. Tact, diplomacy, and the ability to work with diverse people is important

Must be able to set priorities in a fast-paced environment, identify and communicate potential needs or problems, and work independently

Knowledge of Crystal Reports is desirable
